After your treatment
- After a numbing injection, watch that your child does not bite their lip or cheek for two to three hours. Soft, lukewarm food only until the feeling returns.
- Gums around a new crown can look a little blue or bleed slightly for a few days. Brush gently with a soft brush.
- Help children under about eight with brushing every night.
- A check-up every six months catches problems while they are small.

Why fix a baby tooth that will fall out anyway?
Baby teeth hold the space for adult teeth and help children eat and speak. An infected baby tooth can also harm the adult tooth forming underneath it.
When should my child first see a dentist?
By the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Early visits are short and gentle, and set good habits.
My child is scared. What do you do?
We explain each step first, show the instrument, then do it, and keep visits short. Parents can stay. Nothing is forced.
