Oral medicine specialist in Kharadi, Pune
Ulcers, patches, mouth pain and oral cancer screening · Department of Oral Medicine
An oral medicine specialist is a dentist with a three-year MDS in oral medicine and diagnosis. The work is diagnosing and treating diseases of the mouth that are not about teeth alone: ulcers, white and red patches, burning mouth, facial pain, and screening for oral cancer.
At AR 32 Signature Smiles, Dr Avinash Bamane or Dr Rashmi Bamane sees you first. When your case needs an MDS oral medicine specialist, we arrange one for you, by prior appointment, at our Kharadi clinic.

Questions patients ask
When should I worry about a mouth ulcer?
Most ulcers heal within two weeks. An ulcer that has not healed in three weeks should be examined, and may need a biopsy.
Is a white patch in the mouth dangerous?
Many are harmless, but a white patch that cannot be wiped off should be checked, especially if you use tobacco or areca nut.
Can tooth pain come from something other than a tooth?
Yes. Sinus problems, the jaw joint and nerve conditions can all feel like toothache. Finding the real cause avoids unnecessary dental treatment.
