Complete Denture (Full Set of Teeth)
A complete denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. A well-made denture restores your smile, supports your lips and cheeks, and lets you chew and speak with confidence.
What it is
Complete dentures are custom made from impressions and bite records of your gums. Getting the bite, the fit and the look right takes several careful steps and a try-in before the final denture is processed. For treatment of ₹60,000 and above, our monthly plans (40% advance, no instalment below ₹1,100) are available, and paying in advance carries a benefit, capped at 10% for specialty treatments such as braces, implants and dentures.
Who it is for
- All teeth missing in one or both jaws
- An old denture that is loose, broken or worn
- Patients preparing for implant-supported dentures later
How it is done
- Examination and first impressions
- Final impressions and bite records
- Tooth shade and shape selection; try-in in wax
- Fitting and adjustment
- Review visits for sore spots and bite
Time: Usually four to five visits over a few weeks.
Afterwards
- Expect a few weeks of getting used to eating and speaking
- Remove and clean the denture daily; rest the gums at night
- Come back for adjustment rather than living with a sore spot
What to know before you decide
Lower complete dentures in particular can feel loose because there is no suction like the upper. Implant-retained dentures can greatly improve stability; your dentist will discuss whether you are suitable.
