Yes, the consultation costs more. A booked consultation with Dr Avinash or Dr Rashmi Bamane is ₹500, while an MDS specialist consultation is ₹1,500, by prior appointment. Treatment fees follow our published fee list, which already shows which treatments are carried out by a specialist. The final cost is always confirmed after examination.
The specialist's consultation fee is higher, and several treatments on our fee list are specialist procedures with fees to match. Here is how it all works, so there are no surprises at the reception desk.
The difference reflects the specialist's postgraduate training and the time they set aside for you. If your problem doesn't need a specialist, you shouldn't be paying ₹1,500, which is one reason we usually suggest starting with the ₹500 consultation.
Our fee list labels several treatments with the specialist who carries them out. Some of our current published fees:
The full list is in our online store. The final cost is confirmed after examination, because the same treatment name can cover very different amounts of work.
For MDS surgical or advanced procedures, we take a ₹2,000 advance to reserve the operatory and the specialist's time for you. Surgeon appointments need to be booked at least three days ahead. Details are on our payment options page.
If you pay for your plan in advance, the benefit depends on plan size: 0% up to ₹10,000, 5% from ₹10,001 to ₹20,000, 10% from ₹20,001 to ₹40,000, 15% from ₹40,001 to ₹59,999, and 20% from ₹60,000. Specialty items, meaning implants, braces, aligners, dentures and surgery, are capped at 10%. Monthly plans are available for treatment from ₹60,000, with a 40% advance.
You can pay by cash, UPI, Google Pay or bank transfer with no extra charge. Card and netbanking payments through our Razorpay links carry a 3% gateway fee. Monthly plans are set up with post-dated cheques. If you are unsure which option suits a larger specialist plan, ask at the front desk before treatment starts, not after, because pay-in-advance benefits apply only when the agreed schedule is followed.
We have no insurance tie-ups or empanelment, and no bank EMI. Dental insurance in India rarely covers routine dentistry, but we give an itemised invoice for any claim you make with your insurer yourself.
If cost is a worry, tell your dentist early. Sometimes a simpler treatment done well by a general dentist is a perfectly sound choice, and we would rather you hear that from us than stretch your budget for a specialist you don't need.
Kharadi runs late. Reception will tell you honestly whether you need an appointment yet.
