The AR 32 MDS consulting panel is our group of more than fifty visiting specialists, each holding an MDS (Master of Dental Surgery), across nine departments such as root canal, gums, braces and oral surgery. They see patients at our Kharadi clinic by prior appointment, after Dr Avinash or Dr Rashmi Bamane has examined you and decided which specialist your case needs.
Most general dental clinics either try to do everything themselves or send you across town to someone you have never heard of. Our MDS consulting panel is our answer to that problem. It is a group of more than fifty specialist dentists, across nine departments, who see our patients by prior appointment at our Kharadi clinic. You get a specialist for the part of your treatment that genuinely needs one, while your care stays with one clinic, one file and one plan.
Every dentist in India starts with a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), a five-year course that includes a year of internship. An MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) is a further three-year postgraduate degree in a single speciality. An MDS endodontist, for example, has spent those years mostly on root canals and the pulp (the nerve and blood supply inside the tooth). That depth matters in difficult cases: badly curved roots, re-treating a root canal that has failed, an impacted wisdom tooth lying close to a nerve, or gum disease that has already caused bone loss.
Each department has its own page in our MDS dental departments section.
You don't usually start with a specialist. Dr Avinash Bamane or Dr Rashmi Bamane, our founding dentists, examine you first, take any X-rays that are needed and work out what is actually going on. If part of your treatment needs a specialist, they bring in the right department and book that consultant for you at Kharadi. Routine work such as fillings, scaling and simple extractions rarely needs a specialist, and we won't push you towards one.
The specialists are visiting consultants, not full-time staff sitting in one chair all day. That is the normal arrangement in Indian private dentistry, and it is why their appointments are booked ahead rather than on the spot.
A booked consultation with Dr Avinash or Dr Rashmi is ₹500. An MDS specialist consultation is ₹1,500, by prior appointment. Treatment fees are listed in our online store, and the final cost is confirmed after examination.
It is not a promise that a specialist is free the same day, and it is not a way of making simple treatment sound grander than it is. If your problem is a small cavity, a general dentist is the right person for it. The panel exists for the cases where specialist training genuinely changes the result.
Kharadi runs late. Reception will tell you honestly whether you need an appointment yet.
