can i see which specialist will treat me before i book

The short answer

Yes, partly. Our team page shows the specialist profiles, and the online booking engine lets you pick a doctor from the specialist panel, filtered by department. In most cases, though, we suggest booking with Dr Avinash or Dr Rashmi Bamane first: they examine you and then tell you which specialist, by name, your treatment needs.

It is reasonable to want to know who will be working in your mouth before you pay anything. Here is what you can see in advance, and what only gets settled after your first examination.

What you can see before booking

  • Profiles on our team page. The team page lists our founding dentists and the MDS panel. Where a specialist has no online availability set, the profile shows "By prior appointment".
  • The specialist panel in the booking engine. In step two of our booking engine you choose between "The founders" and "Specialist panel", and you can filter the panel by department. Time slots come from the doctors' live calendars.
  • The department pages. Our MDS departments section explains what each speciality handles, so you can tell an endodontist from a periodontist before you call.

Why we usually suggest seeing a founder first

Patients often guess the wrong speciality, and that is not their fault. Pain that feels like a root canal problem can turn out to be a cracked tooth, a gum infection, or a wisdom tooth pressing on its neighbour. Booking a specialist on a guess can mean paying the ₹1,500 MDS consultation fee and then being sent to a different department.

So in most cases the better route is a ₹500 booked consultation with Dr Avinash or Dr Rashmi Bamane. They examine you, take X-rays if needed, and then tell you which department your case needs and which specialist will see you. You know the name before you agree to the specialist appointment.

When booking a specialist directly makes sense

  • You are already our patient and your dentist has told you which specialist you need.
  • Another dentist has referred you for a specific treatment, such as braces, and you have your X-rays and notes with you.
  • You are returning for a planned stage of treatment with the same specialist.

Returning patients should book from the patient portal so the visit joins their file.

Getting the most from the first visit

Whichever route you take, bring any old X-rays, previous prescriptions and a list of the medicines you take. Tell us if you are pregnant, diabetic, on blood thinners or very anxious about treatment. This helps your dentist decide on the right specialist the first time, rather than after a second appointment, and it saves you both time and money.

What we can't promise

Specialists are visiting consultants with their own calendars. If a particular doctor isn't free when your treatment needs to happen, another specialist from the same department may be suggested. You are entitled to ask who it is, and about their speciality and registration, before the appointment. If you would rather wait for the doctor you first met, say so, and we will tell you honestly whether waiting is safe for your problem.

This answers a general question. It is not a diagnosis, and it cannot account for what is actually happening in your mouth. If something hurts, get it looked at — by us or by anyone.

Want this looked at properly?

Kharadi runs late. Reception will tell you honestly whether you need an appointment yet.
