how much do dentures cost

By Dr Bhushan Bangar (MDS, Prosthodontics) · Last reviewed 23 October 2026 · 519 words

The short answer

At AR 32 our current published fees are ₹40,000 for a Valplast flexible partial denture and ₹80,000 for a complete denture, so dentures start from ₹40,000. Your final cost is confirmed after examination, because extractions, fillings or gum treatment may be needed before the denture is made. Plans from ₹60,000 can be paid monthly.

Denture prices in Pune vary a lot, and the number alone tells you little. What matters is what the fee includes, how many fitting stages are done properly, and what happens if the denture is uncomfortable. Here is how our pricing works and what to ask anywhere you go.

Our published fees

  • Valplast removable partial denture (flexible): our current published fee is ₹40,000.
  • Complete denture: our current published fee is ₹80,000.

Both are listed in our online store. Other designs, such as acrylic or cast metal partial dentures, are quoted after examination. The final cost is always confirmed once your dentist has examined you, and your written plan will state exactly what the quote covers.

What else may be on the plan

  • Consultation: a booked consultation is ₹500, and an MDS specialist consultation is ₹1,500.
  • X-rays: a digital RVG X-ray is ₹500 where it is needed.
  • Extractions: from ₹1,000 per tooth for a basic extraction, if any teeth cannot be saved.
  • Preparing the remaining teeth: fillings, scaling or gum treatment, especially before a partial denture.
  • Later relines or a replacement: particularly after an immediate denture, because the gums shrink as they heal.

Paying for it

  • Paying in advance: our pay-in-advance benefit goes by plan size, but dentures are a specialty item, so the benefit is capped at 10%.
  • Monthly plans: these are available for treatment plans from ₹60,000, with a 40% advance and ₹100 handling per instalment. No instalment is below ₹1,100. Plans of 1 or 3 months carry a small discount; 6 months adds 5% and 12 months or more adds 10%, charged once and never compounded.
  • Methods: cash, UPI, Google Pay, bank transfer, and card or netbanking through Razorpay, which carries a 3% gateway fee. Details are on our payment options page.
  • Insurance: we are not empanelled with any insurer and do not offer bank EMI or card EMI schemes. Dental insurance in India rarely covers routine dentistry, but we give an itemised invoice for any claim you make yourself.

Why a cheaper denture is sometimes fine, and sometimes not

A lower price is not automatically a worse denture. A simple acrylic partial can be a sensible temporary step while gums heal, or for someone who needs a basic, affordable option. What you should check, wherever you go:

  • Are custom trays and final impressions taken, or only one quick mould?
  • Is there a wax try-in before the denture is finished?
  • Are review visits for sore spots included, and for how long?
  • Who examines the remaining teeth and gums before a partial denture is designed?
  • Is a reline or replacement likely within the first year, and what will that cost?

A denture that sits in a drawer because it hurts is the most expensive denture of all. Planning, fitting stages and reviews are where the money goes.

If cost is the deciding factor

Tell us. Your dentist can lay out the options side by side, including a staged plan, so you can decide at home rather than in the chair. Denture cases are planned with our MDS Prosthodontics department. To start, book a consultation.

This answers a general question. It is not a diagnosis, and it cannot account for what is actually happening in your mouth. If something hurts, get it looked at — by us or by anyone.
