how much does a dental implant cost

By Dr Sanjay Jain (MDS, Periodontics) · Last reviewed 23 October 2026 · 552 words

The short answer

Our current published fee for a single dental implant is from ₹80,000, which covers the implant, the abutment (the connector) and the crown. Premium implant systems are quoted separately, and a bone graft, if your scan shows you need one, is ₹15,000 per site. Your final cost is confirmed only after examination and planning.

Implant prices in Pune vary widely, and a single headline number can hide a lot. This answer explains what our published fee includes, which extra costs may apply to you, and how payment works, so you can compare quotes on a like-for-like basis.

What the published fee covers

Our current published fee for a dental implant is ₹80,000, listed in our online store. That fee covers three things: the implant (the titanium post placed in the bone), the abutment (the connector that sits on it) and the crown (the visible tooth). Premium implant systems are quoted separately. The final cost is confirmed after your dentist has examined you and the plan is clear.

If you have seen other implant figures on older pages of our website, please go by the store catalogue, which is our current price list.

Costs that may be added for your case

  • Consultation: a booked consultation is ₹500; an MDS specialist consultation is ₹1,500.
  • Digital X-ray (RVG): ₹500.
  • 3D scan: a CBCT scan (a three-dimensional X-ray of the jaw) may be advised. We do not do this in-clinic; we will tell you where it is done and what it costs.
  • Extraction: if the tooth is still present, removal starts from ₹1,000 and depends on difficulty.
  • Bone graft: ₹15,000 per site, and only if your scan shows it is needed.
  • Premium implant system: quoted separately if you or your specialist choose one.

Not everyone needs all of these. A patient with a tooth lost recently and good bone may need only the consultation, an X-ray and the implant itself.

Paying for it

Full details are on our payment options page. The main points for an implant:

  • Paying in advance: our pay-in-advance benefit depends on plan size, but implants are a specialty item, so the benefit is capped at 10%.
  • Monthly plans: available for treatment from ₹60,000. You pay a 40% advance before treatment starts, then the balance in monthly instalments with a handling charge of ₹100 per instalment. No instalment can be below ₹1,100.
  • Plan length: plans of one or three months carry a small discount; six months adds 5%, and twelve months or longer adds 10%, charged once on the amount and never compounded.
  • Methods: cash, UPI, Google Pay and bank transfer carry no extra fee. Card or netbanking through Razorpay carries a 3% gateway fee.

We are not empanelled with any insurer, and we do not arrange loans or finance-company instalments; our monthly plans are our own. Dental insurance in India rarely covers routine dentistry, and implants are often excluded, but we give an itemised invoice for any claim you choose to make.

Comparing quotes sensibly

A lower quote is not automatically a worse one, but check what it includes before comparing. Ask whether the price covers the abutment and the crown or only the screw, what crown material is used, whether a scan or graft is extra, which implant system it is, and who will place it. An implant that is cheap on day one and hard to repair in year eight is not a saving.

If an implant is not affordable right now, say so. A bridge or a partial denture may be a sensible interim or permanent option, and your dentist will explain the trade-offs honestly. To start, book a consultation.

This answers a general question. It is not a diagnosis, and it cannot account for what is actually happening in your mouth. If something hurts, get it looked at — by us or by anyone.
